Counselling / Psychology / Mental Health

Our therapists are trained and skilled to support clients in their journey to wellbeing.

Mary-Lou is a Registered Psychologist with a Masters of Counselling. She recognizes that making the decision to reach out for extra support can sometimes be an overwhelming experience: therefore, prioritizes making her clients feel welcomed and at ease with her warm, approachable, and down-to-earth nature. She is a strong believer that the issues that bring clients into counselling can be serious and complicated AND it is ok to incorporate humour and laughter into sessions when appropriate. Counselling does not have to be a narrow vision of a clock ticking with a therapist silently waiting for your deep responses. She avoids using a cookie cutter approach and instead works collaboratively with her clients to create a unique experience by drawing from elements of various evidence-based talk therapies as well as more body-centered therapies including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) .

Mary-Lou is passionate about helping others identify ways to improve their quality of life and connections with others. She has worked with couples and individuals all ages as they navigate diverse challenges such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, parenting challenges, and other relational issues.

She has specialized training in:

Couples Therapy

Gottman Couples Therapy Levels 1 & 2

Trauma Therapy

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T)

Please note: Mary-Lou does not work with children under the age of 10
